HOD's Message..

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) is a place where future leaders learn to design technology that solves problems and improves lives. The department is recognized as one of the top computing programs in India. We have passionate faculty, exciting research, great job prospects for our students, and a supportive community.

Computers are the most flexible and powerful machines ever created. And while the field of computing constantly grows and changes, the core magic of CSE remains timeless: students educated here build solutions for various problems which supports the society to bring a great change in the world.

Our students learn the mathematical foundations of computing; get hands-on experience building software and hardware; and choose advanced courses such as human-computer interaction, computer graphics and animation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, data science, natural language processing, computer networking, computational biology, computer security and privacy, and much more. The department conducts regular Conferences, Seminars and Workshops on the above cutting age technologies and also promotes active Industry-Institute collaboration by identifying areas of interest.

Our professors are great teachers who make student education their first priority and they’re world-class researchers at the forefront of their field. Our faculty are qualified with M. Tech and PhD degrees and highly exposed to Industries, so students can be confident that they learn from the best. Most of our faculties work with student researchers who want real experience creating new technology. Most of our alumni work at tech companies around the world after graduating, from large tech titans to the smallest startups. The department has successfully ensured placement of students in top notch companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Google, Nokia,HP, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, L&T, Tech Mahindra, Mind Tree etc. with lucrative packages.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has taken a giant stride since its inception and offers a 4year B Tech programme with an intake of 180 seats and M Tech with 25 seats.
